When I think about Teddy Ruxpin he always brings a smile to my face. I had the storytelling bear as a kid and remember watching him while he read to me or I would follow along in the book.
I still have my Worlds of Wonder Teddy Ruxpin figure, it’s seen some better days. But I still cherish it since it’s one of a handful of toys I still have when I was a kid.
On a recent fig hunt the Fig Life Crew and I stopped into Super Happy Incredible Toys in Houston, TX. and they had a lot of neat toys, stuff I never see out in the wild. Like a Playskool Gillian’s Island playset, and a handful of LJN figures that were in pretty good shape. But what caught my eye was four Worlds of Wonder Teddy Ruxpin figures. The store had them priced at $5 bones each, totally didn’t pass that deal up.
Who I bought was Teddy Ruxpin, Grubby, Newton Gimmick, and Wooly What’s-It. Grubby and Wooly are both flocked.

Since buying those figures I been down a eBay rabbit hole looking at vintage Ruxpin figures and book.
